The Luckenwalde Biotechnology Park was represented with its own booth at the BIOTECHNICA 2009, one of the largest European trade fairs for Biotechnology and Life Sciences. 650 exhibitors from 28 countries displayed their latest products and applications of biotechnology in health care, food production, industry and environmental protection. More than 500 international representatives from industry, academia and politics made the accompanying conference program, a highlight of the BIOTECHNICA. The CEO of CellTrend GmbH, Dr. Kai Schulze-Forster, presented in the context of the BMBF Biotechnology project panel the theme "New approaches for the treatment of colon cancer." A total of 11,000 trade visitors from 40 countries attended this biotech event. The Luckenwalde Biotechnology Park offered its excellent infrastructure, cooperation and individual locating service. In addition to updating old well-known business contacts, also some foreign companies are acquired mainly from North America and Korea, who want to establish in the coming years an office in Germany. The offer of a sales office with the associated funding opportunities, and the all around support through the management of Luckenwalde Biotechnology Park was an extremely well received.
