Luckenwalde Biotechnology Park is located 50 km south from the city centre of Berlin.

Excellent transport connections to roads, rail and the new international airport Berlin- Brandenburg International (BBI) ensure good accessibility. Luckenwalde, the district town of Teltow-Flaeming with its 20,000 inhabitants, provides an ideal location for businesses due to its excellent infrastructure in education, health, culture, housing and its proximity to the amenities of a vibrant metropolis.

Luckenwalde Biotechnology Park is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Germany, providing work, research, and housing in close proximity on a 28-acre campus-like ground. The park offers an industry-specific technology and business incubator (TGZ), developed industrial estates for construction on favourable terms, as well as apartments and land for private homes.

Along with the branch of the Technical University Wildau on campus, the Educational Centre for Biotechnology and Chemistry (BBC) secures the long-term need for highly trained and motivated professionals.

With its own quality management system, the Park became the first biotechnology park in Germany offering its central technical services according to ISO 9001:2000. The equipment and facilities meet GMP requirements according to Chapter 3. Scientific symposia are regularly organized in the state-of-the-art Communication Centre (CCB) which has over 300 seats, a restaurant and a library. The park is integrated in an international network (USA, Australia, Russia, Korea, India, Taiwan) to assure rapid and effective market access and cooperation opportunities worldwide. The regional network provides direct access to funding sources and partnerships with renowned research institutions, universities and hospitals including the local German Red Cross hospital.

The Structural and Economic Development Corporation of the District of Teltow-Flaeming (SWFG mbH) is the owner of the technology and business incubator, Communication Center, apartments and property. Its Biotechnology Park department is responsible for the operations including marketing, leasing and management.
